Marc Miranda

Marc Miranda was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Growing up, one of his motivations that kept him going was his mother. All he wanted was to make her
proud by becoming successful and inspiring others through dance and the arts. By doing so, he began his dance career in high school and danced for the Glendale High School Co-Ed and All Male Dance Team. He danced all four years in high school, served two years as dance captain, and head dance captain for his senior year. After graduating, Marc wanted to continue his dance career professionally. He auditioned for Mavyn Entertainment in 2007 and trained with them for three years. Within these three years of starting his dance career, he also started his own dance company with his close friends in 2005 called “Elements of Style Under The Influence”. Now known as “Family Bizness”, these dancers all share the same passion and commitment for hip-hop and dance. He is currently Fambiz’ Artistic Director and he plans on making a professional dance name for Fambiz and himself. By leading his own team, Marc continues to see the opportunities at hand. His inspiration guides him through his hardships and the life style he chooses to live.

Marc has been the Technical Director for Jayvee Dance Production’s company team called “Pretty In Pink” and Jayvee’s “All Stars Competition Team”. Currently, Marc is also the Artistic Director of Jayvee Dancer Performing Arts Center’s Junior Hit List. Dance and music has affected his life so much that he feels musically inclined and believes that music and dance has saved his life. He owes so much to dance that he wants nothing else but to give back to the community and share the knowledge he has gathered through the years to the students here at Jayvee Dance Center.

Emeroy Bernardo

Roy started dancing the first time he heard his dad play Michael Jackson. He didn’t understand what is was at the time, but he soon found himself dancing at family parties. He eventually got into choreography when he joined Glendale High School’s dance/drill team. This gave him the ability to learn jazz and commercial hip hop. Towards the end of his senior year he started to become interested in bboying. He saw bboying as a way to continue dance after high school. As he expanded his areas of dance, his passion grew. Which eventually lead him to find his favorite style of dance, locking. Since then, Roy has been exploring every possible form of freestyle dance such as house, krump, popping, and more. He always does his best to grow in every possible way. Roy currently dances with Culture Shock Los Angeles and leads his own team named Family Bizness (FamBiz).

FUN FACT
- Outside of dance, Roy is also an animator. He specializes in 3D animation, motion graphics, and more. He studied at the Art Institute of California in Los Angeles and graduated in 2008.

Kimmay Evans

Kimmay is an electric energetic dancer whose vibrancy is visibly matched by her fiery red hair. Though she got off to a late start, beginning to dance when she was already 17, she has absorbed this industry quickly and loves teaching and helping students reach their potential. Kimmay is continuously training in and teaching Jazz, Ballet [Pointe], Hip-Hop, Streetease, Pilates, Contemporary, and Lyrical. Starting out dancing in – and assisting – studio companies, she joined Barkada Modern when she turned 18 and competed at Jayvee’s own Maxt Out. She then joined Groovaholix where she performed in Las Vegas, for the Los Angeles Lakers, and showcased her choreography in two appearances at Carnival. Kimmay was also asked to be one of the ladies of Streetease Fitness with Joanna Vargas and filmed three DVDs with the group. Though she had to take a break from her teams while she studied at Oxford University in England, she was asked to teach at TK Spin Studios in London during her stay. Since returning, she has continued her study of all types of dance and is continuing to do new projects working with Marc Miranda and Brandon Burciaga. “I love watching growth, whether it’s me or my students, any type of growth makes me proud to be a dancer and an artist.”

Ralph Ami

Ralph Ami grew up dancing with his family. Though he never had any professional training, he picked up choreography with ease at such a young age. He was motivated by music videos, like Britney Spears and ‘Nsync, to improve his dancing skills. It was at this time that Ralph taught himself the art of commercial dance. In high school, he did a couple of small talent shows while also passing on his love of dance to his little sister and cousins. It wasn’t until college that he first took dance classes. He then excelled in the basic techniques of jazz, ballet and contemporary – enabling him to produce and direct unforgettable pieces performed at dance showcases. After college, he ventured out in the dance community by doing small dance projects like Typecast Toys and Sangeles. Getting a taste of the different types of dancing, he was very inspired to adapt to the style of contemporary-hip hop. In 2012, he became part of a competition dance team, Jayvee’s very own Family Bizness. Ralph is currently co-directing a performance group based in Los Angeles, along with Harrison Kee, called Wild Ones (formerly known as PB&J). Ralph is truly blessed to be able to share his love and passion for dance with anyone who is willing to share it with him.
